Digital conventional radiology still constitutes the main type of x-ray taken in a radiology department. These are the classic plain chest x-rays, x-rays of the bone system, and gastric and urological studies, with or without contrast, but in its most current version, that is, digital or digitized.
Higher image quality and less radiation are obtained with this digital technique compared to conventional x-rays.
Both the diagnosis and ecology of the system have benefited from the abandonment of conventional radiology and the chemical processing of plates.
